Edward B. Farrell, MS, PT, OCS, CSCS is a founding partner of Physical Solutions Physical Therapy and Fitness. He attended Long Island University, receiving his Bachelor of Science cum laude and in 1995, his Master of Science, with Honors, in Physical Therapy. He is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He is also recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Specializing in the care of orthopedic and sports patient populations, Edward has over two decades of experience working with many professional and recreational athletes. He has developed an appreciation of functional mechanics and the demands of activity and how those factors relate to the management of injury and illness. Edward is able to apply these principles to various populations allowing improved quality of life.
Always a mind for the community, Edward has worked extensively with local groups to promote wellness and education. He helped implement and manage a wellness program at Cablevision Systems Corporation. He also has headed programs at condominium complexes, adult living facilities and local schools. Edward was the strength and conditioning coach for Garden City High School athletics from 1996 through 2001, and continues to work with many youth sports organizations to achieve greater sports performance.
Edward and his family reside Nassau County, New York. His two sons both active lacrosse and football players, when not in the office he is usually juggling their schedules with his wife deciding who will be at which game.
Christopher R. Lopez, MS, PT, OCS, CSCS, is a founding partner of Physical Solutions Physical Therapy and Fitness. Following completion of his undergraduate studies at Adelphi University, Christopher received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in 1998. Since graduating, Christopher has maintained a strong commitment to continued professional development through participation in continuing education courses and the pursuit and acquisition of several postgraduate certifications. He is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. Additionally, he is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, by Cincinnati Sports Medicine as a Sportsmetrics practitioner, and is FMSC certified by Functional Movement Systems. Christopher has worked with his professional associations at both the state and national level to promote and advance causes important to his profession. He recently served as co-chair for the Alliance for Independent Physical Therapists (AiPT), a special interest group of the New York Physical Therapy Association that serves the needs of private practice physical therapists within New York State.
As a clinician, Christopher has nearly two decades of experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting with patients suffering general orthopedic injuries, work related injuries, injuries related to automobile accidents, and injuries from competitive and recreational sports. He has also participated in the rehabilitation of patients suffering impaired function related to acquired or genetic illness. Christopher utilizes the evidenced-based science of physical therapy when evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients. He takes an integrated, whole body approach, to ensure that the underlying, root cause of pain or dysfunction is discovered and addressed. He also recognizes that many physical problems are the result of poor health generally and strives to minimize the risks of such avoidable problems through the promotion of wellness, where the goal is not only to manage and/or eliminate pain and loss of function associated with injury or illness when it occurs, but to also work towards preventing these problems in the first place through the promotion of better health.
Christopher and his family reside in Suffolk County, New York. When not treating, he enjoys spending time with his kids, trail running, hiking, weight training, and photography. He is a member and former president of the Edward Smith Mineola Lions Club, a local charity which has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to causes that help the blind and/or those who run the risk of becoming blind.
He is trained in Chinese herbal medicine and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Nutrition. He sees patients with a variety of health conditions and delivers a holistic and comprehensive approach to treatment. Michel also serves on the board of directors at the Acupuncture Society of New York where he is the continuing education coordinator.
