Edward B. Farrell was born and raised in Bellmore, New York. He attended Long Island University, receiving his Bachelor of Science cum laude and in 1995, his Master of Science, with Honors, in Physical Therapy. Upon graduation, Edward worked as a staff physical therapist with Professional Sports Care. When the company was acquired by HealthSouth, he retained his position and was promoted to chief and then to director of the Uniondale and Malverne outpatient facilities. In early 2001, he joined his partner, Christopher Lopez, in founding what is now known as Physical Solutions.
Specializing in care of orthopedic and sports populations, Edward has worked with many professional and semi-pro teams and athletes. He was the strength coach for Garden City High School athletics from 1996 through 2001. Edward has published and gives lectures on the subjects of pathomechanics of the shoulder and advanced physical rehabilitation techniques. He also spends time lecturing to high school athletes about performance training and nutrition.
Christopher was born and raised in New Hyde Park, NY. He received his Bachelors degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY and later received his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY in 1998. Following graduation, Christopher accepted a position with HealthSouth in Uniondale as a staff physical therapist. While at HealthSouth, Christopher gained experience treating a host of orthopedic conditions ranging from general orthopedic to post operative and sports related injuries. He was quickly promoted to director of the Uniondale out-patient facility. In early 2001, he joined his partner, Edward Farrell, in founding what is now known as Physical Solutions.
Christopher specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and sports populations and has been involved in the rehabilitation of athletes on the high school, collegiate and professional level. He also lectures on physical rehabilitation and the science of strength and conditioning.
Physical Solutions is proud to welcome Christopher S. Leona, DPT, OCS, CSCS as a full time Physical Therapist. A graduate of Stony Brook University, Christopher obtained a Bachelors degree in Health Science in 2001 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2003.
Christopher’s nine years of practice have been primarily in the outpatient orthopedic setting where he has gained extensive knowledge in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and the management of post-surgical conditions. In 2009, he became board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association, a distinction which is held by less than 10% of practicing therapists. Christopher is also certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and he has taken great interest in the rehabilitation of high school athletes and the development of wellness programs for people of all ages.
Today, Christopher remains dedicated to providing the highest level of service for his clients by utilizing a hands-on, personalized approach to patient care. We look forward to working with Christopher at Physical Solutions and believe that he will be a valuable asset to our team.
